Dr. Steven G. Sclamberg, MD

Dr. Steven Sclamberg is a sports medicine trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and joint replacement.  He is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, where he also did his residency in orthopaedic surgery .  He then went on to University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine for an advanced scholarship in sports medicine, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, and reconstruction, where he held the position of Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedics.  He has practiced in the Chicagoland area for the past 12 years.  He performs complicated shoulder procedures including arthroscopic stabilization, minimally invasive rotator cuff repairs, and partial and complete shoulder replacements.  His expertise in the knee includes arthroscopy for meniscal and ligament tears and as well as complex ligament reconstruction, fractures, and partial and total joint arthroplasty (replacement).  Dr. Sclamberg is also an expert and consultant in Orthobiologics– the use of biologic tissue to augment orthopaedic repair of bone and soft tissue injuries.  He has published in orthopaedic literature on multiple topics, including rotator cuff repair, ligament and tendon repair and reconstruction, and joint arthroplasty.  Dr. Sclamberg is the orthopaedic consultant and team physician for District 219 schools, including Niles North High School and Niles West High School.  He is an avid competitive runner and has run many marathons including Chicago, New York City, and Boston races.  He practices orthopaedic surgery in Skokie, Evanston, and Chicago with his main office in Skokie at Orthopaedics and Rheumatology of the North Shore.
